Tips and advices for planning your wedding

Choosing your wedding vendors carefully and relying only on professionals is the first step to the success of your event

Whether the proposal swept you away with emotion, whether it was a planned and well-thought-out choice, or whether you made the decision after only six months of dating, it doesn’t matter. You’ll get married! That’s what counts!! Overjoyed, you’ve told everyone who needs to know and now it’s actually real.

What now? Where do you start? What should you choose first? Date, location, the season, maybe the number of guests? What should you definitely not neglect to avoid mistakes that could be hard to fix?

Here are some suggestions to keep in mind as you start planning and organizing your wedding.

First and foremost, a very simple consideration: the more organized you are, the happier you’ll be. Being organized doesn’t mean becoming control freaks and bordering on hysteria before making a decision, but it does mean planning each step well.

Location, period and number of guests are three elements that are closely interconnected, and where to start depends on your priorities. For example, if you want a particular location and are not willing to consider other options, the date of your wedding and the number of guests will depend on the availability and capacity of said location.

If instead your priority is to gather all relatives and friends, you will necessarily have to find a location that can host everyone, regardless of what you prefer. Finally, if you want to get married on a specific day, without any possibility of compromise, then the date will be dictating the rest.

In any case, always, always have a Plan B. No one can guarantee good weather…Consider that many locations  have beautiful big gardens, but the indoor space is often drastically smaller.

Once you have decided “where, when, who?” you should address stationery immediately, that is, all printed material: but this is the moment when you decide what the color palette of your wedding will be and begin to design all parts related to the invitations and, first of all, to the “Save the date”.

Getting back to the main topic, you can now tackle the choice of catering and, following that, decorations.

Here you can let your imagination run wild: it will be a creative moment, your eyes will fill with beauty and you will begin to concretely shape your dreams. And in the wake of the scent of flowers, you can also think about lights, music, the photographer, the videographer and everything that might come to mind.

Tandem Tips

Always rely on industry professionals, even if it means spending a little more, because an improvised supplier, however well-intentioned, could risk doing more harm than good. This also applies to friends!
